Landscapes of Argentina

Argentina is a large country with all types of landscapes from high mountains to colorful deserts. There are forests, jungles, vast plains, rivers, sea and beach. Here is a list of the best landscapes of Argentina.

1. El Calafate: It is located in the southwestern of Santa Cruz province, 2561 km from Buenos Aires (capital of Argentina). The best time to go is from April to October; and it takes four days to visit the area. 80 Kilometers away from Calafate, you will find the famous Perito Moreno glacier, a huge wall of ice of 60 kilometers high and five long. The glacier can be seen from the walkways and there is also the option of the Glacier Trekking. The company that organizes the trekking is Hielo y Aventura. You can also enjoy Viewing Cruises. There are several hotels to stay as Imago, Hotel Calafate and Sauces.

2. Iguazu Falls: This is one of the best known landscapes of Argentina. In fact, the Iguazú National Park is the most visited park of the country. The falls are located within the 67.000 acres that the park protects. You can visit the area in three days. Keep in mind when you are travelling: in summer the heat is excessive. You should visit the falls from March to October. We recommend going also to the Falls of Moconá, which are relatively close.

3. La Quebrada de Humahuaca: It is located in the north, in the province of Jujuy and it takes at least a week to visit the different towns. You should start with the town of Purmamarca, where the hill of the siete colores (seven colors) is, and then go to Tilcara, the largest town in the Quebrada that still maintains its bohemian spirit. Then go to Humahuaca and Iruya, in the province of Salta, one of the most magical places in the country.
