The Patagonia, comprising the provinces of Black River, Neuquén, Chubut, Santa Cruz and Tierra del Fuego is sparsely populated. The number of inhabitants is approximately 1,500,000, 5% of the country. There are areas where the population is less than one person per square kilometer. Also Patagonia is the only region of the country where you can find indigenous communities, who speak the Mapuche language. Patagonia is a wonderful place to visit. We recommend the cities of Bariloche, San Martín de los Andes and Ushuaia.
