Things to do in Buenos Aires

Besides the most important neighborhoods of Buenos Aires as Recoleta, Palermo, La Boca and San Telmo, there are things you can´t miss in Buenos Aires. Below is a list of them:

1. One of the things to do in Buenos Aires is to go to a classic bar and have a coffee with a medialuna (the classic corissant porteña). You should order a cortado (a coffee with a little milk) and you'll discover a classic habit of Buenos Aires.

2. Dancing tango is another unforgettable experience. Instead of going to the typical show designed for tourists, you can dance the tango rhythm and see how the porteños do it. Some suggestions: Confitería Ideal (Suipacha 380), La Viruta (Armenia 1366), Club Gricel (Rioja 1180) or the Club Sunderland (Lugones 3161) and the Glorieta of Belgrano.

3. Another thing to do in Buenos Aires is to try the famous asado. We recommend asking bife de chorizo (kind ofsteak) with fries, the favorite food of many porteños. The asado should be accompanied with a Malbec wine. Argentina is famous for its wines.

4. Go and watch a soccer match. We recommend going to La Bombonera, Boca Juniors’ stadium, situated in La Boca. The classic Argentine River-Boca match is worth seeing it. What matters most is not the result of the game, but being able to observe the people, songs, flags and colors. Soccer is sacred to Argentina.

5. Another thing to do in Buenos Aires is to visit the Delta. It is located in Tigre ,in the north of the province, and is a magical place full of plants, birds and rolling rivers. A good option is to take the catamaran or rent a boat from several friends.

6. Buenos Aires is well known for its night. Eat at one of the classic grills, go to a bar in San Telmo, Palermo and Las Cañitas or going dancing at a disco is a fun experience. Bars are open late and people dance until dawn.
