Where is Argentina located


Argentina is located at the southern tip of South America. It borders Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Bolivia and Brazil and the Rio de la Plata and the Atlantic Ocean. It has an area of nearly 3.8 million km2. The country includes several islands and the Antarctic. It has four major regions: the mountainous west, the plain chacopameana, Mesopotamia and Patagonia.

The country is known for its different landscapes : there are forest, mountains, rivers, lakes and deserts. Another highlight of the country is it cultural diversity.

Where is Argentina located? It’s located in South America. It is the second largest country of the region and eighth in the Americas. It is divided into 23 provinces and has 40 million inhabitants

The population is mostly white of European origin, mainly descendants of Italian, Spanish and French. There are scattered minorities of Indians and mestizos, descendants of former gauchos.

The main urban center and the capital city is Buenos Aires, where the third part of the population lives. Other important cities are: Cordoba, located in the center of the country, Mendoza, in the west next to Chile, and Rosario, along the Paraná. Other major cities are: Mar del Plata, La Plata, Tucumán and Salta.

Argentina is known for the famous Patagonia, which covers the south of the country from the foothills of the Andes to the ocean. The landscape in Patagonia is varied: there are high mountains, lakes, rivers, glaciers and deserts. The region is not densely populated and is a major tourist resort centers in the country.

The official religion in Argentina is Catholicism, although there is freedom of worship. It has a republican representative and federal system of government. The president is Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner. The currency is the peso. One peso equals approximately $ 3.85 dollars.

People are kind and open. Argentina is an ideal place for tourism.
