What do People in Argentina do for Entertainment?

Argentines and especially porteños (people who live in Buenos Aires) enjoy going out. What do people do people in Argentina do for entertainment? They like having dinner, spending times in the cafes, going to the cinema, visiting museums and going to sport events. Argentina is known for its night and its many cultural activities.

Having dinner is one of the favorite activities of the Argentines. They eat late, around 10. In Buenos Aires there are first-class restaurants, but the international food scene is not so good. For example, Thai, Vietnamese or Indian food is expensive and difficult to find. If you travel to Argentina, we recommend trying the famous grilled steak and the asado. Pair it with salad and fries and s Malbec wine.

The cafes are another custom of the Argentines. They stay opened at any time, in any neighborhood, and are full of groups of friends or couples. The typical coffee is the cortado (with a little milk) and they have It with a medialuna (croissant). In the interior of the country is more common to drink mate (a typical argentine infusion) with biscuits.

Going to the cinema is also one of the favorite activities of the Argentines, especially for the porteños. You can watch Hollywood, Argentine, French and Italian movies and you can get half price tickets on Wednesdays.

What do people in Argentina do for entertainment? The bars are another meeting place for entertainment. The Argentines are very fond of beer, wines and cocktails. The after offices are popular in Buenos Aires. They start at 7 pm and end at 1 am.

Most young people choose the boliches (clubs). There are all kinds of cubs with different music but electronic is the most popular one. You can listen to Reggae and music from 80s and 90s in the bars. Unlike other South American countries, argentines do not dance merengue or salsa. Clubs open late, at two in the morning and the Argentines arrive at 3. The ticket can be free or cost 50 pesos, depends on location.
